Influenced by Donatella Versace’s love of music, particularly hip-hop, the Medusa Amplified prints reimagine Medusa as a musical icon. The design visualizes how Medusa would feel like a song, rhythm, melody or beat. The Rosenthal meets Versace collection plays with bold, spring colors, contrasts, and size variations of the iconic Medusa. With 30 colors, the extremely elaborate decoration, the filigree ornamentation of the Medusa heads and the meander bands surrounding them were a great challenge for Rosenthal’s expert lithographers in creating the decorative designs that require an extraordinary amount of know-how and precision.
